I bought one of these panels and connected it to the power supply and a second later I did hear a poooffffff. Post mortem I found out that deze panel are not rated 220V. In fact there is just a LED strip inside, no drivers no nothing. The specifications clearly indicated 220V AC Specifications: Power: 8W / 12W Input Voltage: AC220V Light Source: LED Chip Body Color: White Light Color: White Size: 300mm *300mm PS: I cannot change the star rating :

Q: Connected them on 12V DC but not much is happening. How do I turn them on? Clicking on the 3 buttons does nothing.

I bought one of the little ESP8266 modules from Arilux with the idea to re-program. This worked straight out of the box using the tutorial found here https://github.com/mertenats/Arilux_AL-LC0X 10/10 would buy again

rvt There are many tools available under Linux, I used GNURadio without issues.

Still having problems to get it running it under Linux .... But it seems to work in Windows (at least with adsb# and welle.io) with the provided drivers from banggood.

rvt Can you elaborate on what you modified? I noticed there is indeed a LED inside. DO you happen to have an picture of what you changed?

After shielding the copper foil inside the box, the device works like other usb dongles, in the UV range while the HF range has a rather poor sensitivity. removing the internal IR and LED diodes significantly reduced the level of interference generated inside the device.

Nice little receiver, worked perfectly fine on OSX using GNURadio or CubicSDR receiving airband. I opened the little box and it all looks very clean and well assembled. I would recommend getting the 'right' antenna for what you are planning to receive as the default antenna has some losses in the thin coax line.
