BG511115578 this is old but if you're using the old controllers they won't connect to the new ACCESS receivers. it's nothing to do with the drone. it's Frsky being aholes. if your controller runs ACCST it won't connect if it's an old remote you me need to buy a module to connect to your controller or update your firmware.

BG511115578 there's different models. basically you'll see it says Flysky then get a Flysky controller. if it says frsky get a frsky controller that runs D8 mode. when you choose to buy it lets you pick the internal reiciever type. just research controllers that run that "protocol" and buy it accordingly. there's is not just one controller

BG511115578 did you get a Flysky model? try using the the cli on Betaflight. bind_rx or bind_rx_spi. if not you might have something off on your uarts if you messed around with it

BG511115578 any will work really. the issue is that if you get crossfire you have to have the external module to bind to crossfire. it won't bind with the internal multiprotocol, and for the rxsr i believe frsky made it so that your transmitter has to run access protocol. which I don't think the t16s does. your options are the internal modules. I ended up choosing the frsky D8 I have the t16s also and I'll just add my own external module like the XM+ which runs accst
