Marcus454 no! you need the 42 tooth gear to work with the stock motor. unless you have the adjustable motor mount? that is highly recommended!

Charles Yates yes kit includes a 17T pinion gear that fits the 390motors does not fit the A979b 540 motor

masterwalling it should but I couldn't finish putting mine together since there was no instructions and it mounts slightly different from the factory chassis
