I've had a number of 18650 torches that made big claims but turned out to be disappointing - not so with this one, it is as advertised. So good I've ordered a second one. Very bright output, and there is a "hidden" third mode which is even brighter, activated by double-pressing the power button in quick succession. If I was to find fault it would be in not supplying a plastic shell to go around the 18650 and protect against shorting with the case - though there is enough room to make your own out of thin plastic to wrap around the cell.

Shipping was quick, scope is amazing value for the money, I have used scopes that cost 10x this that aren't as feature rich. Interface is well thought out and clear to use. Only comes with one probe though, needed to buy separately PP-150B (B variant is the black styling).

Remarkably terrifying arcs from this tiny device. I was sceptical that the listing photo was representative of the actual product, so I was pleasantly surprised to see some strong arcs out of it. The primary appears to be a single turn and the secondary many turns on a flat PCB. One knob seems to control power and the other the periodicity of the discharge (which is loud!) Thoroughly recommend it to scare your neighbours and your children.

This is one of the only ones I could find that has a power switch to turn on the PSU allowing limits to be set, then an output button to connect the load. The USB output comes on when the PSU is turned on, not when the output is enabled. This is fine. Only rating 4 stars because sometimes the power button sticks down and has to be "flicked" to make it pop out. And there seems to be no way to turn off the annoying key press "beep" noise.

BG381238431 Yes, a black painted aluminium spike is included with alan bolt that screws into the top.

Q: Can it be used to decode Manchester encoded signal?

BG381238431 Yes,there is an OOK protocol decoder (On Off Keying) that allows Manchester decoding and is configurable to allow different variants, inverted data and so on. There is also a Miller decoder.

The analyser works really well, I have used for SPI decode and more. Can even do QSPI and stacked protocols. Triggering is way more sophisticated than most MSOs can achieve while remaining easy to use, and has external trigger output so a scope can be triggered from the analyser (there is about 270ns delay between trigger point and the scope triggering). Very useful bit of kit.
