Q: The two upper smooth rods are a tiny bit too big for their holes. Am I supposed to use a dremel or something to widen the holes? [edited] - I went ahead and did I added spacers for strength when tightening the bolts. Also to fit the chuck to the spindle motor pin I used a hammer, lightly. Just mentioning it as it was not in the assembly instructions.

dj_wang I had the same issues, the left upper smooth rods' mounting holes were too small! Had to use Dremel to enlarge the hole size. Don't try to force the rods or you will ruin the supporting resin plate - I almost did that. I had to hammer the ER-11 chuck (buffered by small wood pieces) gently to get it in the motor spindle too.
