Q: Besides being electroplated, what material is the heating block made from? Copper, aluminium, other?

Tomsi Just checked mine and it looks like brass but is also pretty magnetic.. so it must be some weird copper mix.

Q: Stainless steel can contain other elements such as nickel and manganese, but chromium is the key element which makes it rust resistant. Are they?....... Using them in a thumbler with water.

Tomsi Idk what that other guy is smoking but these are very attracted to magnets. If they were stainless steel they would not be but these are carbon steel.
