This is an inexpensive UV light but more than good enough for cleaning carpets, or spotting things you would normally not see around the house unless you shine the UV light on them. It has two battery cages that fit 3 x AA each and no problem using eneloops. It's using the 394nm wave length so it has a beautiful violet color beam that glows. It emits much more light than I thought it would and sometimes I just keep it on in my flashlight cabinet to display all the lights in there. The metal housing is very very thin with cheap threads in the tail end, but it does the job it was designed for with the low purchase price.
