No ESC documentation included. I don't expect or need a step-by-step installation guide, but it would be great if I could find any reference material. The motor is definitely noisier than stock, with a distinctive whine. Slow crawling has improved a bit. I still have the stock ESC in use because it would help if I had the most basic of information on the device. The motor and mount work just fine, even in my Axial AX24. I'll try to get a basic diagram for the ESC. With my luck, if I go plugging the wrong thing in, I get to release the magic smoke.
