There is no internal battery but requires a 5V power output to operate. The measurements of temperature and humidity seem to be accurate. The pairing /connection with tuya smart home app is very easy as it is discoverable automatically. The integrated ir controller works OK. I managed to add all my devices (TV, AV receiver, tv box, A/C unit, projector) and control them effectively. The added devices are also controllable using Google assistant, as there is an effective integration of tuya smart home and Google assistant. The only thing that annoyed me (and this is the reason for only 4 stars instead of 5) is the lack of screen backlight, so the screen is not readable under low light conditions. Overall, this is a good product with a very useful ir controller.

A very useful little tool that beyond measuring the temperature and humidity and make the data available on your phone, it can also remote control a number of devices that have infra remote controller. You can control you air conditioner, TV, electric heater, etc using your phone and can setup automatic procedures, too.

Amazing device to have - now I can control my TV and AC with this which remote is no more functional. Other than that I can monitor my room temp outside my house via the app and I can turn on the AC before reaching home / room. What is missing - obviously the backlight of the display which can be turn off by the user or Automatically and the ability to change the clock format to 12 hr.
