I looked under 30x magnification - the filter media looks very similar when compared to another high quality filters.

This filter has Mann written on it and is made in Germany. Also has the Mercedes Benz logo on it. This was about half the price of buying on the internet and substantially cheaper than from the dealer. It's the Fleece filter, not the paper one so is good for the extended Mercedes oil change interval. Great deal!!!
