Bought this dipstick for a Mercedes Benz M113 engine in a 2003 E500. The dipstick is difficult to push down the dipstick tube and is way too long for the tube/motor leaving about 250mm hanging out the top. I felt that it may become stuck in the tube so have discontinued it's use.

It's a good idea but it wont work on M112 engine, it wont do down the dip-stick tube.
