I bought 2 of these and they simply don't work. The module powers up and I can see the Wifi blue LED, but there's no Wifi AP to connect to, and trying to connect over serial interface doesn't work either. Sorry I bought this.

I bought 2 of these and based on the ad, expected them to work out of the box. Neither of them work. So unless the supplier advises otherwise (I can't get a straight answer), then I can only assume that as PocketScience says, you need to reconfigure the wiring, remove a resistor and re-program the ESP8266 - if this is the case I would expect the ad to say this.
