For the price it is not too bad. The down sides are the lack of restraint on the shafts from moving left to right. This means the "points" that run the lights bend and do not conduct as they go around. Also on my model, the cog for the big end to the cam shaft was moulded weird, the result being an elliptical motion that only just gripped the larger cam shaft gear during the cycle. Again, the valves do not seat in the holes cut for them. Will it be useful for teaching? Yes Is it high quality? No And my box was battered quite badly on delivery, it was quite flimsy.
