Comes with a very robust Heat sink. If you don't intend to use it to it's max amp rating, you can do what I did and remove the large sink and install a small bar sink across the 2 transistors that the heat sink mounts to with thermal paste and screws. I have my unit on a Paramotor. My Vittorazzi Moster 185 has a Charge coil that will produce up to 50vac if you go beyond manufacturers mounting specs on the airgap. My coil is EXTREMELY close to the flywheel as needed to produce what I desire. I was burning up buck converters rated to 30v, before I realized it. This converter will handle the higher spikes. I've made several flights now with it operating and it charges my Lipo 2200mAh Starter battery just fine. I have it limited to 17.5vdc output with on 0.8amp allowed max current. Hence why I went with small heat sink. It makes very little heat at that setting. I save space and weight by switching to a smaller heat sink bar, now it fits in my e-box above my battery.
