Very nice insert,for machining mild steel. I have taken a 2 mm cut on the lathe and the result was almost a chrome finish. No matter what one is machining - there should always be a coolant used on the stock,to be machined. It protects the tip of the cutting insert and will extend the life of it. When the cutting edge becomes blunt,just remove it and turn it around,to the opposite cutting edge.
