The sole is not cast iron, but sheet metal. So not ground flat, and hard to correct. There were also a couple of rust spots. The plastic handle is hard and rough, and starts to hurt after merely a minute of use. The set screw to hold the blade in place also seems to move the blade when you tighten it. So it's hard to get a precise setup. The blade isn't sharpened very nicely, but that was something I expected. It's seldom you find a cheap tool with a sharp blade.
