In my opinion, the packaging box should be more durable to withstand transportation handling. The meter has been tested for functions like DCV, ACV, continuity, resistance, and NCV, and the results were satisfactory. ABOUT THE MULTIMETER-683: 1. TOUCH SCREEN - The touch screen is fairly good, but it is not as responsive as a mobile touch screen. 2. CONSTRUCTION - The construction seems very solid, and there is a protective cover. 3. ACCESSORIES - I received all the accessories as advertised, and the quality is equally good. This has built in rechargeable battery.  4. Overall, it was a good purchase. A cost effective meter capable of holding its own amongst the big boys. Compared with my (calibrated) Fluke, it's AC and DC voltage measurements at the lower voltages are quite accurate but it starts to go astray when measuring above 400v - only by a couple of volts though. Milliampere measurements are pretty accurate too. 👍 When using the meter in the 'auto' setting there is a slight delay while it switches itself into the correct range but this is indicative with most auto range meters, so is a minor inconvenience on what is a really useful function. Battery life seems good, i expectedthe large screen to eat batteries, but I was using it for a full day testing a control panel and it didn't need recharging, it does have an auto shut-off function to save battery life if you accidentally leave it on. Charging is easily done with the supplied USB cable. My only gripe would be that there is no stand or hanging loop which along with the fact that the test leads plug into the bottom of the meter means that it can sometimes be a bit awkward to rest it somewhere where it's visible whilst leaving your hands free to probe the test leads. Otherwise I would've given it 5 stars. Would I recommend it? Yes, for semi-professional or DIYers, definitely. Incidentally, delivery to the UK took about a fortnight which isn't too bad. 🙂
