This unit works well. Note that the fan is NOT regulated (even it is written on the case !) . It runs full speed all over the time. There is NO fan speed control by temperature (no circuit built, in fact the fan is direct on the 12Vdc output). This makes fan noise a bit loud, full speed even with no charge. Add of a temp fan control might be a serious plus to improve this product. The 12V output can be fine adjusted if needed. Robust construction, and good rate price/quality (especially at -51% of the regular price) .

I got this to get my led strip lights going again that came with a 5 amp power supply. When I got them connected up to this power supply, the lights would some times flicker. When I connected my other set of led strip lights that flickering problem went away. My guess is that this power supply doesn't like being lightly loaded and a protection circuit kicked in. The cooling fan goes in to warp speed when I turn it on after it has been off for a while, it does settle down shortly after. As you can see in the pictures there is damage, but nothing important was broken.
