Works well, the switch works manually, even if gateway unplugged from power supply. Fine for South African wall switches. The quality of the electrical box installation made the install harder than necessary.

PaulSB10@Jason The WiFi display is only volts, ampps and forward power. The LCD does several others such as reverse power.

Tested the item. Works well. a pity the forward and reverse power quantity cannot be reset. The WiFi app also does not display all registers.

Q: is this only for AC,,? or can I use it with DC to monitor some solar panels?

PaulSB10 This will only measure AC volts and amps. for DC you need a current shunt. the CB will also have issues to measure DC short circuits.

PaulSB10 Look on the unit itself, maybe earth leakage or overcurrent. You have inadvertent timer setting enabled or scene.

Q: I bought the 2 pole switch which is advertised as having leakage protection. How is this possible as it has a live + neutral connection only? Nowhere is an earth connection. This is a legal requirement for the installation I plan on doing.

PaulSB10 In a healthy system the live and neutral will have an identical current. A core balance current transformer inside the MCB summates the two curents 180 deg apart to zero. As soon as either the L or N leaks to current to earth the two current will no longer be equal and the core balance current transformer will now output this current difference and if it excedes the EL units value say 30mA the unit will open the circuit.

Works as indicated. In daylight thus outside building range is very limited.

A good replacement case. Tip: Make sure the transducer chip is transferred as well. Mine flew apart on disassembly and disappeared. It is a little black fleck. Found it eventually. Without it car won't start. The old case was very difficult to split.

looks OK. tried the 20mm on a steel pole to enlarge a hole, could not do it. To be fair other drill bits also had a hard time but could do the job. probably good for plastics and thin metal.

Have not used but looks good quality. Banggood reported delivery complete even though this was not the case. Buffalo in South Africa had indicated delivery complete. A call to them indicated that goods was still in warehouse. All turned out OK but this should not happen.
