I am sure I am not the only one to get burned on this, but it wasn't clear that what I ordered was the unit without the motor. Guess I should have looked a little closer.

Q: from the pictures, it looks like there is no insulation on the motor leads where they are soldered to the motor. is this the normal?

Mickomarvel If there’s a possibility of them getting shorted you could seal them under a drop of epoxy, but I doubt it will be a problem unless you go flying in rain.
