This is a beautifully designed and finished 12-BALL BEARING Alloy spinning reel, I highly recommend it. Unlike "Plastic" versions of the 4000-7000 series spinning reels, it's strong and has a really smooth action, can't wait to get out and use it. Just hope I can buy some spare spools :)

BCBirdman A few experiments using a separate stabilized power- supply and temp. controller for this unit, you should be able to use any peltier (TEC). TEC's have been used for measurement accuracy and and temp. stability as in controlling the temp. of the cooling block in particle measuring systems that used powerful Blue Laser beams through a liquid. Yes, this might use more power but this DIY TEC-Peltier Cooling unit is and should be in any designers (DIY) arsenal.See: https: pages at www.meerstetter.ch for their tec-peltier-element-design-guide
