This is a real badass headlight. Very powerful and very sturdy. Very good quality product. The high power came with a price, on hi settings it drains te battery in 60-80 minutes with a 4 lithium cells whitch by the way is not included and you have to buy separately. In the low settings the brightness is still enough to do the job and it keeps two time longer. The strobe is very police-like but in the dark is stressful for the eyes so I use it only in the daylight. The heat management is very good. Comparing to my oldest headlamp, this one does not heat at all. I like also the wired remote switch. This is a crazy headlight, I like it!

Q: I understand you advice using 4.2V however I have a 5V DC source, can this also work?

Steve0817 Hi am using a Lm2596 DC to DC buck. it last longer since I am using a 12volts Pb battery slim type. it last many hours.

the other unit is defective and missing orings. the on and off switch is not working and only on modes that works.
