BG231016452 It duplicates the functions of power socket and the two switches, so you can power it from another source, or control it via external buttons. G is ground (power negative); V is 5V DC, and the other two (R and T) are the same as the two buttons (Connecting them to the ground is the same as pushing the button.)

davejj The switch was missing in my kit too. You do need the switch or nothing happens when you connect power.
