Its is a t12 tip. Does it get any better for the price? No. I will be be buying these tips from now on.

Very nice solder handle better than the other handles as this has foam padding and does not feel so hard on the fingers. This has no problems when accepting new tips as it connects with them instantly. Nice project to put together as well.

Very good solder iron much better than the cheap irons with the tips that have to be placed on the heating element. Once i got used to it i found it heated up the tips very quick and keeps the temperature well.It is a joy to use as the the iron holder is very tactile. The whole thing is compact with plenty of features.All i need to get is a descent stand for my iron.

i was beginning to think it would not arrive but when it did i was so happy. as i only paid ￡160 and they are going for around ￡200. anyway this is a quality microscope. it is way better than the ￡30 to ￡50 scope out there. although they are not that bad either. but plug this into a descent size lcd screen and it just ramps up what can be seen hugely.there is screen fuzziness when zooming in up close. but not enough to take away from the detail. put an smd led 0201 under its lens and detail not possible to be seen by the human eye or magnifying glass just ramps up the visual detail. this is an excellent tool that will come in handy for my electronics hobby. i am sure they are working on how to make a 4k scope that will blow my mind but until then i am just enjoying this one right know. i must say though what i know about scopes you could right on the back of stamp. buy you know when something this good does such a good job that it is money well spent. i would have liked the option to change the lens scope to give me greater magnification if needed. but hey all things come in there good time.need a scope then? look no further if you can afford it. you will not be disappionted.

lovely bit of kit to get some experience in soldering in. cant say the singals it generates are anything special but at least it does work with a descent oscilloscope.

this is a good tool to have for removing smd components.although the tips are not perfectly aligned they do the job on pretty well. they do take a bit of practice holding it in the the hand to desolder a component. and and would get pretty uncomfortable holding them for long periods of time.i would nice if it had different type tips but from what i understand it only has the one style of tip to desolder with. i would recommend it as a cheap desoldering iron.

this will be a challenge for me as well as getting some practice on smd components.there quite a few and some look almost impossible to solder to the board being as they are so small. this a good value for money kit and will help me to know what to do when i make any mistakes and am confronted with a similar situation. i think having the proper tools to do this work will help me also. i will take my time and enjoy the experience and skill it will help me to develop.
