Q: Current accuracy was 0.4A too low, I_ADJ pot was at limit, Shorted I_ADJ_Z pins and booted. Now Display locked at -60V, --0A, no response, what to do?

oz_pekeren Cut off the shorted pins and try again. If else, it is broken, sorry.. But I think you broke it down. Why did you shortened the pins?!

gregcrago I connected it to 120VAC (USA) and it got to 360deg F. I put some solder on it and it MELTED!

50W COB lens is not GLASS, but Silicone. SOLDER PADS are COATED with SOLDER MASK and was VERY HARD TO SOLDER to. Had to SCRAPE pad for a very long time with small screwdriver to CAREFULLY remove this coating and get down to some pad which solder will stick to. MAke sure you wiggle your solder joint after it has cooled. Several joints popped off and I had to re-scrape pad over and over in order to get solder joint to actually work. Watch out.
