Q: would a battery 56mm x 30mm x 18mm fit in this plane?

gevraagd door Jason op 2021-01-17 18:14:31

rhe battery bay: 70mm x 30mm x 18mm. I found a 1Ah 2S that fits and provides 6 minutes reliable flight.

rhe Mine does that as well. I think it may be an idiosyncrasy in the gyro controlled modes, the rudder stick command appears to demand some yaw movement of the plane. I notice a greater range of the rudder servo in gyro stabilized modes. I also had elevator tail wagging in flight. I solved that with some adhesive between the radio, servo pcb to the wing. I think it was too loosely mounted.

rhe I had elevator tail wagging especially in descents. I solved that by adding some E-6000 adhesive drops at the corners of the radio, servo board to improve mechanical connection to the wing, the double sided tape had a weak bond to the PCB. Banggood and their technician did not help me solve this. I found a better battery as well; with 1Ah 2S I get about 6 minutes reliable flight. Also had poor bonds on the landing gear plastic receivers, some epoxy solved that. Typical quality control problems teaches me the hard way.

Q: how many propellers does this spitfire come with?

gevraagd door Bill op 2022-11-10 18:13:27

rhe Mine came with two double bladed props and one triple bladed. All had the quick release joint. Also there was one replacement joint for the prop shaft; the receiver on the drive shaft. It flies well with both types of props.

rhe No. The front wheels are held by steel wire, not much wind resistance. It flies well with the wheels attached.

Q: Does the controller start beeping when your running out of battery?

gevraagd door BG171413461 op 2022-09-04 09:22:34

rhe Yes it does beep. All control surfaces will continue to respond. I think the motor continues also, but if you reduce the prop to off it will not restart.

rhe Thanks for the clear explanation! I also noticed the gear has 11 teeth on this motor. My P-47 Razerback has a 10 tooth gear and extends to 4.7mm from the bearing. Regardless, I'll try this one for the failed motor in my Razerback. One brush burned out after 25 minutes of flying.
