I am still trying to figure out if this is legal for freshwater fishing in my state. The reason I bought it is that I saw a YouTube video of someone using something like this for salt water fishing and the experienced fisherman indicated that he thought it helped attract fish. How could it hurt? I have not tried it out yet so I can't judge it from my personal fishing experience.
