I had a similar base provided with my generic and good quality (for the price paid) Chinese trimmer. The base it came with just had a screw knob to tighten the trimmer inside the acrylic sleeve base. This one I ordered had two options to choose from. So I chose the to have a lever to tighten the sleeve base. I ordered this one to keep attached permanently to a sheet of plywood as a trimmer table top and save me having to unscrew it from the plywood base every time I wanted to use it as a handheld trimmer. It will be a simple lever operation to remove the trimmer. It is near identical to my unbranded trimmer's base .. I might consider tapping the base screw holes (in the base) and fitting M3 or M4 threaded bolts instead of the self tapping screws provided. I recommend this base for the money. It also arrived within 10 days as promised
