I do not know how to access the IO but it can be opened partly (see picture). It is available in the Arduino list as a Leonardo device. I test it with a simple blink program to get the led flashing and it works.

I was able to figure out the necessary board and libraries and got this working perfectly. It would be helpful if there was even a little documentation. Also a slightly larger device with built in wifi would be amazing.
