This is small 1/8 violin. Suitable for children. It's not a plastic toy. It's really a musical instrument for young beginners. I tried the bow. It's all okay, horsehair wasn't damaged while playing. Tuning the violin is little difficult. It keeps going out of tune. But with time it got used to it and now it's just undertone a little. Need to be tuned again before playing. But you might receive green/black violin instead of blue/black even though there is only blue violin to choose. I received green... Violin is good and nice, unique looking. Violin case is good as well. For better sound I recommend you to change the original strings for better ones. The quality of the strings affect the sound a lot. These original strings sound metalic. Not very smooth.
