Regular pump. It needs water at the input, it cannot generate any vacuum, but otherwise it is okay. If everything assembled properly and there are no air bubbles, the pump is very silent, even when it is not immersed in water. I suspect that if you use it in a fish tank, there is no noise coming out at all. My only concern is the short cable.

Small pump, comes with a plastic clamp so you can attach it to flat surfaces. Both tubes are 8 mm in diameter. The wire is not so long, but it is okay.
