The item is well made and fit and finish is excellent. That was the good news. The bad news is that this will not work if you are using a 4K external monitor without significant glitching rendering it useless. I have a MacBook Pro 2017 model that is connected to an external dock via USB-C that provides an HDMI port for my external 27" 4K monitor. Using the same cables and setup (which otherwise works perfectly) with this adapter in between makes the screen glitch. I cannot recommend it for this configuration. I have kept it for use with the power adapter when I am away from my desk. This works fine.

Cons: - The only bug I've noticed is, if my laptop goes to sleep, it wakes up with all of my applications on the main screen as if it lost the external monitors, so I have to move everything back in place. This does not happen without the adapter in place. I will definitely be ordering another one so I can have the same connectors on my home and office desks.
