Seems like a decent rangefinder. Precision is on spot both for distance measurement from the back and from the front of the device. As for the max range, got the outdoor ranging around 25m on a sunny day. Haven't tried area measurement functions but there are some. Angle measurement also seems precise enough although its display is small and the device needs to lay with its back side down, hence four stars.
