only have this a month or so but have used on 3/4 kitchen layouts. very easy to assemble . took a few minutes to get the hang of it ,there is no instructions but its hardly rocket science.and its probably better to mess around with it ,to get used to it have not used the tripod part as can go from floor to ceiling quite easily and using the foot level makes it a breeze to use .the poles themselves are sturdy and feel they will last. the only negative is the laser holder . its made of plastic . the locking mechanism is very tight , no slippage there ,its just the body , and the dials that raise and lower the laser feels a bit cheap. i feel if they had metal dials and a more robust body it would be perfect
