This chuck is every machinist's dream! It weighs 957 grams and is extremely robust. It is a copy of the German Albrecht design but at a tiny fraction of the cost. The spindle mount is a Jacobs Taper (JT or J) 6 taper External ID 17.170 mm, Internal ID 15.582 mm, taper length 25.400 mm. Beautifully finished and spins perfectly true. Highly recommended.

This is a quality drill chuck that I will be using on my wood lathe.... the fit and finish is much better than in the pictures provided. This is a substantial chuck which accepts a 1 mm drill as per the description. I would highly recommend this chuck to anyone wishing to upgrade their drill press or lathe.
