Really glad I purchased this cordless soldering iron, it has proved so handy and helpful. A word of caution though, it does get through AA batteries very rapidly. Understandable considering the heat it generates, so do consider using high power rechargeable nickel metal hydride AA Batteries, I use 2700mAh batteries which will give about 60mins of soldering work if used economically. A word to the manufacturers/developers/designers, an soldering iron running off one or two 18650 lithium batteries with usb rechargability might prove a hit!!!!!
