Received this fairly quickly. unfortunately the included HDMI and USB cables are only 1m long which is not long enough for my setup. When connected up to my laptop ( I need to wait for longer cables to connect to the pc) the magnification is too great. Looking at a ruler scale at the 0.7x setting I can see 14mm on screen. With the max magnification of 4.5x this reduces to 2mm. The height above the desk is of the objective lens is 11cm when in focus (at 0.7x) and considerably less at 4.5x. The included software is Hayear branded and on my setup the menu options are greyed out, I dont understand why. This means you cannot change the exposure level among other things. In fact the only option available is to change from colour to grey on the display. I'd like to know why this is. Does anyone else have this restriction. As far as clarity is concerned the image is sharp and without any aberration, no blue fringing, no astigmatism and is quite bright with the included LED ring. Sadly I will need to get a 0.3x lens in addition to the right cables before i can do anything useful with this.
