This solid brass valve is designed to adjust (and to shut off) the water flow. There are no squeaking noises while turning the lever, it stays in the position you want. The screw-in threads make the installation an easy task. I tested it on my handheld shower head, the valve is leakproof and functional. It allows controling flow from the handle and not the main shower valve(s). This way the water is kept at the right temperature and you don't have to readjust during showering.
