these brackets produce a firm and sturdy joint there is no movement when mounted well. you need to have twenty four v slot nuts and twenty four bolts. the brackets have slotted holes so possible to adjust the joint a little without fully dismantling. the notches on the bases allow some lateral movement so alignment most be done with care as the bars may not be completely flush or square. you will want M5 bolts with 10mm of thread although the may just bottom out at the end of there is a bit of deformation in your extension. bolts maybe specified with the overall length including the head so you have to be aware of that when getting the bolts. if I have further thoughts I will add comments to this review with time
