The power adapter is a solid piece of equipment. Had no problem powering a middle range laptop but I don't know if I would push it near those 70W. Personally I had no issue with overheating but I didn't use it in long sessions either. My only disappointment is with the rotary voltage selector that is way to "sensitive". It requires too fine a movement to reach exact voltage you want it to deliver, most of the time a little overshoot or undershoot will have to do because it's way to finicky to reach the exact voltage. Apart for that I'm completely happy with it.
