Why did I buy the item: I was looking for a back up energy saving light that was sufficiently bright for a large room. Around 750 lumins. Does it do what it was meant to: Yes the backup battery inside takes over when their is a power outage and gives sufficient light in the room. Pros: The lamp is sufficiently bright, indistinguishable from a normal 11 Watt Cons: The cover (lens) seemed to be broken off, but I managed to re-clip it in place. If I know what I know now would I purchase the item again: Yes
