I'm mounting this in an outlet for my battery backup system. Our power goes out a lot. I wired my house for 12 volts and this will make it easy to charge my phone and other things. I added a switch so it doesnt use power when it's not being used to charge.

Seems to deliver stable 5V (approx) power under a wide range of input conditions. However, the efficiency is not particularly high at low currents, as would be expected.
