worth every penny, the soft white bulbs worked the best for indoor lighting.no heat or flickering issues at all. I recommend these bulbs for energy savings alone nevermind the heat sink issues that halogen bulbs create. a 9 watt led is about the same light given by a 50 watt halogen.

I got the E12 base (American Candelabra) the bulb itself is only about 5/8" diameter and 2 inches long - with the base it's a little over 3". The bulb itself is potted in clear silicone. It has 72 small SMD LEDs and I measured its power at 5 watts @ 120 volts. An important thing to note - the entire metal base is one piece - from the screw threads to the "bell" around the bulb. I would imagine the E14 (European) base is the same way. This should not be significant if you are using the B15 (bayonet) base, as neither electrical connection is to the shell. If your fixture is set up in a way that the screw shell is grounded (earthed), or insulated and not exposed, there will be no problem. But if the screw shell is electrically "hot" and exposed it presents a potential shock hazard

Dimmer function works fine. They are quite small but nice and bright. I'm very satisfied, will buy these again. I got warm white, they are warm for LEDs, close to old incandescents but just a bit cooler.
