This item does exact what it says to be doing, nothing more, nothing less. One of the best things, is the fact that it remembers the last "setting" during power loss, so when the power comes back the bits you have set before still remains. I use them with an ESP8266, and by using them I´m not only get around the limited amount of GPIO:s, I also get rid of the problem with GPIO:s changing state during power-ups, and as mentioned above, this little board also remembers what was set before powering the boards down. -It´s excelent!
