Just plugged it in and it seems to work as described. since it is a designer product I was expecting the visible cap to be immaculate but the paint job is made sloppy with uneven quality.

This socket is rather cheap, and it is mainly because it isn't "automatic" one (spring-loaded one-click extender). It has to be extended manually, no automation of any kind exists. But that doesn't mean that it is bad - quite contrary, it is sturdy, it is easy to use, easy to install, and when is extended, it stands without falling down. I'll buy another one and recommend it to all my friends.
