An amazing device that plays like a dream. The buttons feel great, the screen is bright, the analog sticks are ok and the shoulder buttons do their job nicely. The rear rubber grips are a nice touch and the overall material feels compact and premium. The User Interface is very easy to use and amazing. Love it.
I tried the preloaded SNES, GB, GBC, PS1, PSP, Nintendo DS games (and there are loads more from NEOGEO, PC Engine, N64, NES, GB Advance, SEGA Genesis, Game Gear, MEGA Drive, and more!!!) and they worked generally very well.
Some (very minor) observations are the following:
GB: the aspect ratio (since it isn't 4:3) is a little off while playing.
PS1: The text isn't perfect, but it's readable.
PSP: Has a hard time staying above 16FPS on open world 3d games.
Nintendo DS: the use of the L2/R2 shoulder buttons to cycle through the double screens is a clever solution, but might be problematic with some games where you need to use them both.
Overall: AMAZING for the price!! Portability is through the roof and it feels great. Got myself the RG280V and I must say that Ambernic is a great brand.
