Finaly found a buzzer that works on DC current. I am not an electronics expert in any way, shape or form so I have spent a bit of money in the past on buzzers that I wanted to use on projects, only to realize that I needed a 5 Volt AC current to run them. Making a DC to AC converter is beyond my capabilities and, in any case, I couldn't find a circuit diagram for one. This buzzer is active, so it has its own built-in converter and will work beautifully from a 5V DC power supply or battery, with no extra electronics required. To say that it has changed my life might be a bit of an exaggeration but it has certainly made things a lot easier. I now have alarms all over the house!
