This is very useful when one is repairing all manner of electronic goods. The braid is used to remove excess solder when replacing electronic components. When care is exercised the board is not damaged and removing the faulty components is definitely helped by the braid soaking up the excess solder. The price is very attractive and the cost of repairs is not increased to any significant degree by having to purchase the braid. The fact that the board is less subject to excessive heat probably makes repairs more effective. I recommend this wholeheartedly..
