it's what you'd expect for the price, definitely has plenty of work potential for simple pieces, it arrived loose in the box, no tools or instructions and the plug-end converter from EU to US was as cheap as it possibly could be, causing intermittent switch issues. Despite these minor things, its very well worth the price and nothing that can't be easily fixed if having a micro lathe is what u want. easily upgradeable as well

you get what you pay for . DHL repaxckaged - so imaged that as received . No chuck tools , have to rebuild the tool holder - as the plastic will warp if too hot . If it lasts a couple of years cannot complain

It's exactly what you expect to get at the cheap cost. It does lathe wood and very soft metals, however, it isn't rigid enough to guarantee accuracy of depth of cut. When it begins cutting even soft wood, the tool will wobble, and the tool's holder will shake meaning that you cannot use this for accurate work. Overall, it does exactly what it says, it lathes. It's a fun toy, but that's what it is, a toy. Hopefully it inspires you to get an actual hobbyist lathe that can machine stock with a diameter bigger than 7mm.

Quick delivery. The base plate was warped, however this was not an issue as I did not intend to use the base plate. The chuck jaws although able to hold a reasonable diameter item is limited as the chuck jaws hit the frame when opened to any decent size. I also added parts to lock the individual frame parts down tightly as they tended to wiggle about. This was shown in the manual (that i could not read as it was all in a language unfamiliar to me) but the bracing brackets were not in the package. Again not an issue as some scrap aluminium did the job. Once tightened up and squared the mini lathe did a surprisingly good job. Not the highest quality of build, but for what you pay it does a pretty good job.
