This 'monster' Relay is a good quality heavy duty, high current on/off contactor. It is equipped with large connection points appropriate for large amount of current ... When you supply the coil with needed power the noise and torque produced is a proof that this relay can hold a lot, lot, lot of current! We have to take into account that coil gets warm after a while so ... this is another reason for the metallic plate - basement of this relay ... As you can see in the photo the coil consumes more
